Governor Hogan announced that Maryland will enter Phase 2 of its vaccination program within the next week, expanding eligibility to Marylanders over the age of 60. All Marylanders will be eligible to receive the vaccine no later than April 27th.
This comes the same day that Maryland has hit a major milestone of administering more than 2 million vaccines. The State is currently averaging 43,034 shots per day and has built an infrastructure capable of doing 100,000 shots per day when more vaccines become available. Nearly 25% of all Marylanders have gotten a vaccine, including nearly two-thirds of all Marylanders over 65.
