Governor Hogan on Taliban Takeover: “Disgrace To The Memory Of Every Marylander And American Who Lost Their Lives There”

Governor Larry Hogan today issued the following statement on the events in Afghanistan:

“The rushed and irresponsible withdrawal from Afghanistan that has enabled the rise of the Taliban is a disgrace to the memory of every Marylander and American who lost their lives there fighting for freedom and keeping our nation safe. This was a choice made by politicians, not a failure of our brave soldiers. We are praying for the safety of every American and all of our allies who remain in the country.”
